TENSES

Here, we are with our next post to continue teaching you ENGLISH GRAMMAR

Students, listen .

It is very important for all of you to practise English Grammar regularly it order to understand it properly .

Once you understood the basics of any language like Grammar, you can easily use that understanding in speaking that English .


In our last two posts, we had focussed on studying the TENSES and its different types .

We also studied how to remember the names of different sub-types of TENSES .


In our previous chapter, we understood about the types of sentences (as per the requirement of studying TENSES) .


Now, as required for some practise .


Below are the few and differentiate between Past Tense, Present Tense and Future Tense. 


  1. I am an Indian .

  2. He was also very intelligent student .

  3. Rajan is a good friend of Shiv .

  4. America is the richest country in the world .

  5. There will be a party in our house .

  6. There were many ships in the ocean .

  7. Maruti was making very cheap cars .

  8. Mr. Anil is very good in swimming .

  9. Saurav will catch the train on time .

  10.  Anju will compete in national tennis match .



You are allowed to submit your answers in the comment section below and we will reply you there with right or wrong .


Now, let's practise for types of sentences (for the purpose of studying TENSES) .


Distinguish between Affirmative, Negative, Interrogative (Verbal-Interrogative, Wh-Type Interrogative, Interrogative-Negative, Verbal-Interrogative negative, Wh-Type Interrogative-Negative) sentences .


While writing your answers in the comment section, mention the specific type of interrogative sentence .


Yes, I know . It's a bit confusing, but trust me , it's the best & very simple way of studying and understanding TENSES at very basic level & yet very effective.


So, below are the examples for your assignment .


  1. How are you ?

  2. Where is your school ?

  3. Will you attend the function ?

  4. Have you written your homework ?

  5. Did you not eat your breakfast ?

  6. Which is your best friend's house ?

  7. I am coming to meet you .

  8. You like my handwriting .

  9. I am not taking your money .

  10.  Is your teacher coming to give us your result?

  11.  How was your journey to USA ?

  12.  Did you forget our friendship ?

  13.  People love their praise .

  14.  Who has not taken his medicine on time ?

  15.  Had you not invited Mr. Mehta for dinner ?

  16.  Are your friends coming to help us today ?

  17.  Mrs. Singh is very find of ice-cream .

  18.  Why are you not attending my seminar ?

  19.  My best teacher was Mrs. Anjita Dubey .

  20.  Our headmistress has never come late for the school function .

  21.  Colleges never participate in non-educational events .

  22.  Our school peon has nothing to do with the theft .

  23.  We have so many good people around us .

  24.  How is this not your luggage ?

  25.  Are you not satisfied with your child's performance in the national competition ?



See, you must have heard 'practise makes man perfect' and it is very much applicable while studying the English Grammar .
